高中生必須要從事那些讓他們可以在其他候選學生中脫穎而出的活動，展現他們思慮周到、投入、熱忱且聰明。要確保你與眾不同的一個蠻受歡迎的方式，就是去規劃一個「突出之處」，或是一個極度獨特、獨立且具影響力的課外活動。
