We are looking for a Business Administrator to join our team. The Business Administrator will be responsible for office and business operations, as well as help support the academic department in administrative responsibilities.

We’re looking for an ambitious individual to fill the Business Administrator role. As Englist expands, the person in this position is expected to take on more leadership responsibilities and play an active role in the development of the company.

The Business Administrator’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Office management
    • Manage and coordinate organization of the entire office, ensure general cleanliness is maintained, make sure supplies are stocked, and order supplies if needed
  • Communication
    • Answering office phone, liaising between landlord, building management, vendors, local and national government agencies and services, assistance in communication with customers
  • Office finances
    • Writing fapiao, keeping track of payments, assisting with customer contracts, paying bills, paying vendors, ensure prudent office spending, coordination with owners
  • Translation
    • Assisting with translations of media/marketing content, liaising between parents and teachers during meetings, vendor conversations, etc.
  • Other administration
    • Assisting the CEO and managing office calendars, placing orders for classes, picking up / signing for deliveries, helping with open house and presentations, assisting owners with relevant personal details, keeping clear files, keeping the office organized
  • Assistance
    • Communication with customers, planning and logistics for academic activities, help where help is needed, etc.

The individual taking this role should have the following qualifications: 

  • Taiwan citizenship 
  • College or university bachelor’s degree
  • Native level of Mandarin Chinese speaking, reading, and writing ability
  • Conversational level English-speaking ability (although fluency or near fluency is preferred)
  • Experience in a business administrative role
  • Ability to act as a basic translator between English and Mandarin 
  • An outgoing personality, proactive work ethic, a flexible attitude, an amazing ability to multitask, and attention to detail
